ABOUT AFKAR
Twenty-five years of building trust in Qatar.
Afkar Trading & Contracting Est. is a Doha-based general contracting and facilities management company. Since the 1990s, we have built, renovated and maintained the spaces where Qatar lives and works — with our own teams, on scope, on time.
OUR STORY
From a small trading house to a full-service contractor
Afkar began over 25 years ago as a trading and contracting establishment serving Doha's growing construction market. Project by project, we earned a reputation for one simple thing: delivering exactly what was promised, exactly when it was promised.
Today Afkar operates five specialist in-house teams covering general construction, steel and glass fabrication, electrical works, HVAC, and renovation — plus a dedicated department that does nothing but serve our Annual Maintenance Contract clients.
Because every discipline lives under one roof, there are no subcontracting chains diluting accountability. One team, one standard, one point of responsibility — from the first site visit to years after handover.

SAFETY & QUALITY
How we keep sites safe and work correct
Health and safety is managed by the same supervisor who is accountable for the build, so it is part of how the work is planned rather than a separate checklist.
PPE and site discipline
Helmets, boots, high-visibility vests and task-specific protection are issued and enforced on every site we run.
Toolbox talks before work starts
Crews are briefed on the day’s tasks, hazards and controls before they begin — including hot works and work at height.
One supervisor accountable
Each project has a named supervisor responsible for method, sequence, housekeeping and the safety of everyone on site.
Checked before handover
Work is inspected against the agreed scope and snagged with the client, so what is signed off is what was promised.
